After months of great dedication to rehearsal, we arrived to De La Salle College Chapel, Waterford one Saturday morning to record our CD, Memories & Melodies with our ever patient Musical Director Niall Crowley and accompanist Sinead Dempsey to meet with Cian O’Carroll the recording expert who was to become our Musical Director some years later. We soon learned not to move on the beautiful parquet flooring in case it squeaked and to stop whenever a motor bike or ambulance siren passed in the distance. We also realised at that point it would take more than one day to complete. And so, we returned time after time each with their own music folder and square of carpet (to lessen the squeaks) in order to complete the task. We are very grateful for the wonderful artwork completed for the album cover by Eimear & Aoife Dillon, granddaughter and daughter of our long serving member Tony Dillon.
